2. Where we ship

2.1 Domestic: all 48 contiguous states

We ship by LTL freight to residential, commercial and industrial addresses in all 48 contiguous United States. There is no minimum order for domestic freight.

2.2 Out of area: quote only

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam and other US territories are handled by quote only and are not guaranteed. Transit can be materially longer and palletised domestic service may be unavailable to some of these destinations.

2.3 Canada and Mexico

Canada and Mexico are available by quote only, where the carrier and lane support it. International freight requires additional lead time, an agreed delivery type, and a commercial invoice. All duties, import taxes, customs brokerage and clearance fees are the buyer’s responsibility and are paid by the buyer directly to the carrier or broker. We do not prepay, collect or refund international duties.

2.4 Other international destinations

We do not routinely ship pallets outside the United States, Canada and Mexico. Requests for other destinations are considered case by case and are confirmed only in writing before the load ships. Email sales@palletliquidationking.com with your country, ZIP or postal code and delivery type.

3. Freight quotes & charges

Freight is quoted per shipment, based on pallet count, total weight, freight class, distance from our warehouse, and delivery type. We do not publish a flat rate, because a 400 lb pallet to Reno and a 1,800 lb truckload to New Jersey are not the same job.

3.1 How the quote works

  1. Place your order and complete checkout with your full delivery address.
  2. We email a written freight quote, usually within one business day of your order being confirmed.
  3. You approve the quote in writing (email reply is fine).
  4. We book the carrier and issue the PRO number once payment has cleared.

Freight is only charged after you approve it. There is no surprise freight bill added at delivery. If your order qualifies for a freight waiver under our current bulk-order promotion, we will confirm that in the quote.

3.2 What affects the price

Delivery typeRelative costNotes

Residential with liftgateHigherLiftgate service typically adds $75–$150

Inside deliveryNot availableDriver unloads at dock or curbside only

Storage or detentionCharged by the carrierAvoided by answering the driver promptly

3.3 Other charges you may see

  • Handling and inspection are included in the pallet price.
  • Residential surcharge, liftgate, remote-area and out-of-area fees are passed through at cost.
  • Certificate of origin, delivery appointment window and special handling requests may carry a fee.
  • International duties, taxes and brokerage are the buyer’s responsibility (see §2.3).

4. Processing time

Processing starts once your payment has cleared and is final, not when the order is placed.

SituationDispatch window
In-stock pallet1–3 business days after payment clears
Special order / non-standard pull3–5 business days to pull, manifest and load
Multi-pallet or truckload orderQuoted individually before you pay
Freight booking after approvalSame business day to 1 business day

Dock schedule

Orders placed after 2pm PT, on a weekend, or on a US federal holiday are processed on the next business day. We do not ship on Sundays or US federal holidays. Warehouse and dispatch hours are Mon–Fri 8am–6pm PT, Sat 9am–1pm PT, Sun closed.

5. Transit times

Transit time is measured from carrier pickup, not from the moment you place the order.

LaneTypical transit
Local & regional (Northern California, Nevada, Oregon)2–4 business days
Most of the Continental US5–8 business days
Coast to coast7–10 business days
Out-of-area, AK / HI / territoriesQuoted, longer and lane-dependent
Canada / MexicoQuoted, since clearance adds time

These are estimates, not guarantees. Freight schedules move with weather, truck availability, dock congestion, carrier routing and traffic. We cannot commit to a delivery date before the carrier issues an appointment, and a carrier may re-deliver even after an appointment was confirmed.

6. Packaging & pallet specs

SpecificationDetail
Pallet footprintStandard 48” x 40” wood pallet
SecuringStretch-wrapped, banded and stacked to prevent shifting in transit
Typical pallet weightApproximately 400–800 lbs; full truckloads can exceed 1,800 lbs per pallet
ConfigurationFreight-palletised, wrapped and rated for LTL handling
DocumentationBill of lading (BOL), packing list and pallet manifest issued at loading

Plan your dock, trailer and unloading labour around the listed weight. A full truckload may require several pallet-jack moves, a forklift, or extra staff on delivery day. If you are unsure whether your site can handle the load, ask us for the shipped weight before you order.

7. Delivery requirements

LTL freight is not parcel delivery. The driver will need a forklift or a dock. They will not carry pallets to your door. Before you order, confirm all of the following.

RequirementWhat it means
Forklift or loading dock A forklift, pallet jack or dock must be available at the delivery address during the appointment. If not, the driver will leave the freight and the load will be returned at your cost.
Business address preferred Commercial dock delivery is the cheapest option. Residential delivery is available but costs more and requires liftgate service.
Someone 18+ must be present A responsible adult must sign the delivery receipt and count the pallets.
Clear access for a 53-foot trailer No low bridges, weight-restricted roads, narrow streets, gated communities without a truck route, overhanging trees, sharp turns or steep driveways.
Unload promptly Freight must be checked and moved off the trailer or dock during the appointment. Detention charges can apply otherwise.
No inside delivery The driver unloads at the dock or curbside. Getting pallets into your building is your responsibility.

No forklift? Tell us before you order

If you have no forklift, pallet jack or dock, tell us before you book. We will quote the load for liftgate service to curbside (typically $75–$150 extra) so you can plan for someone with a pallet jack to meet the truck. Delivery is not held until the quote is agreed.

8. Scheduling & tracking

  1. Once booked, the carrier issues a PRO / tracking number.
  2. We email the PRO number and the carrier’s contact details to you as soon as the load is picked up.
  3. Contact the carrier directly to schedule your delivery appointment and to confirm whether a liftgate is required. Carrier appointments are limited and freight is re-delivered if you miss the window.
  4. The driver typically calls approximately 24 hours before delivery to confirm a delivery window.
  5. You may also receive tracking and status email notifications from the carrier. We additionally send an email every time your order status changes in your account.

You can follow your order status at any time from the My Account → Orders page, where each status change is timestamped. We email you at every stage: pending, processing, shipped and delivered.

We are not the carrier. We pass the PRO number through so you can get live status directly from the carrier, which is the fastest source for in-transit updates.

9. Inspection at delivery

Freight law requires you to inspect the load before signing the delivery receipt. This is the single most important thing you do on delivery day.

  • Count the pallets against the manifest before the driver leaves.
  • Check for visible damage: crushed or broken corners, punctures, water staining, shifted or leaning stacks, torn or missing stretch wrap, broken banding, crushed cartons.
  • Note every issue on the delivery receipt / BOL before signing: write it out, don’t rely on verbal agreement.
  • Photograph everything: a wide shot of the trailer, the pallets and the labels, plus close-ups of each problem.
  • If you sign “clear” or “received in good order” and find damage afterwards, the carrier will deny the claim and so will we. Inspected, documented and reported inside the window is the only way to preserve a claim.
  • You have the right to refuse visibly damaged freight. If you do, photograph everything, note the refusal on the delivery receipt, and contact us immediately at sales@palletliquidationking.com or +1 (510) 778-4319. We will pursue the claim with the freight company.

Your 72-hour inspection window starts on delivery. It is not a substitute for checking at the tailgate. It exists for concealed damage and for pallet-count shortages you could not resolve before the driver left. See §10 and §7 of our Terms of Service, or the short version in the FAQ.

10. Damage & shortage claims

10.1 What counts

  • Visible freight damage: noted on the delivery receipt before signing, with photographs.
  • Concealed damage: damage to inner cartons or units that could not reasonably be seen at the tailgate. Must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.
  • Pallet-count shortage: fewer pallets delivered than the manifest shows, or a pallet missing cartons on arrival. Must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.

10.2 How to report: what to send

Email sales@palletliquidationking.com with all of the following in one message:

  • Your order number (for example PLK-7F906A4A-261001)
  • Photographs of the pallet, the damage and the shipping label / BOL
  • A precise description of what is wrong, and how many units or pallets are affected
  • A copy or photo of the annotated delivery receipt, if applicable
  • Confirmation that you counted and inventoried the load

10.3 What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your report and confirm the claim window.
  2. We file the claim with the freight carrier on your behalf and keep you copied.
  3. Carriers inspect freight at delivery, so claims are settled from photographs and the BOL you annotated.
  4. If the carrier approves a claim, settlement is handled between the carrier and your business. Where a claim is denied by the carrier but we agree with you, we may at our discretion issue a partial credit or refund against the affected pallet. That is the full extent of our remedy.

What we cannot accept

Reports submitted after 72 hours of delivery · damage discovered after signing a clean delivery receipt with no annotation · shortages we cannot verify against the manifest · cosmetic condition of the goods themselves · over-orders, under-orders and “this isn’t what I expected”.

11. Local pickup

Buyers in the Sacramento area can collect from our warehouse instead of paying freight. Local pickup is arranged by phone in advance. It is not an option you select at checkout.

Address2108 N St Ste N Sacramento, CA 95816

Phone+1 (510) 778-4319

HoursMon–Fri 8am–6pm PT · Sat 9am–1pm PT · Sun closed

  • Call at least 24 hours before you intend to collect so your load can be pulled, wrapped and staged.
  • Bring your order number and photo ID.
  • Come with a van, box truck or trailer rated for the load’s weight, plus a forklift or pallet jack for unloading.
  • Inspect the load and count the pallets with us present. Your 72-hour inspection window starts at collection.
  • Uncollected loads after 7 days may be returned to saleable stock, and the order marked delivered. Contact us if you need longer.

12. Risk of loss & title

  • Title and risk of loss pass to you when the freight is delivered and signed for at your delivery address (or when it is collected at our warehouse).
  • Before that, the risk sits with us while the load is on our dock and with the carrier while it is in transit.
  • Freight carriers are liable for loss or damage in transit only to the extent allowed by law and only when the loss or damage was properly documented on the delivery receipt and reported inside the claim window.
  • Where a shipment is refused, returned to us, or never delivered, the order may be cancelled and any payment returned in full.

13. Delays & failed delivery

Delivery dates are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather, road closures, natural events and carrier routing decisions
  • Truck availability, dock congestion at the terminal, or carrier labour and capacity issues
  • No forklift, pallet jack or dock available at the delivery address
  • Nobody available to sign, or an incorrect or incomplete address
  • Overturned weight restrictions, gated communities, low bridges or roads a 53-foot trailer cannot reach
  • Missed appointments, refused deliveries and re-delivery fees
  • Customs holds or clearance delays on international shipments

We are not liable for the direct or indirect costs of a late delivery, including storage, demurrage, lost sales, missed marketplace deadlines or labour standby. If your shipment is significantly delayed, contact us and we will open a trace with the carrier, but the carrier’s schedule governs the actual delivery date.

14. Address changes

  • Contact us as soon as possible, and always before the order is marked Shipped.
  • Address changes are not guaranteed once a load is on a truck. After pickup, they may be possible only as a carrier-rated re-delivery, usually to the original state, at your cost.
  • Provide the full address including unit, suite or dock number, ZIP, and a live contact number.
  • We are not responsible for freight sent to an address you gave us in error.

15. Contact

Send us your ZIP code and delivery setup and we will quote exact freight and confirm whether your dock can take the load before you buy.
